The Range is now open at The National

The Range at The National in Bara, just outside Malmö, has now been inaugurated. The first shot was struck by Peter Hanson, marking the start of one of the Nordic region's largest and most modern experience-driven driving range facilities.

The Range is The National's new venture where golf, technology and social experiences meet all year round. The facility spans two floors with a total of 40 driving bays and 20 modern studios with their own lounge areas. All bays are equipped with the latest Trackman technology and offer both practice and play – outdoors as well as indoors – in a digital and weather-protected environment adapted for the Nordic climate.

The fact that Peter Hanson was given the honour of striking the first ball was particularly symbolic, given his long-standing strong connection to golf in Skåne and Sweden. He was also among those who struck the first ball when The Lakes Course at The National was inaugurated in 2010.

– The Range is more than a driving range. It's a modern meeting place where people can meet, play, train and socialise all year round. We are very proud to now open our doors and share this venture with our guests. Everyone is welcome, regardless of age or ambition level., says Jonas Edberg, CEO of The National.

In addition to golf, The Range also offers a restaurant, bar, shuffleboard and darts, making the facility a destination for golfers, businesses and social groups alike.

The venture strengthens The National's position as Sweden's national arena for golf and is part of the long-term vision to be Scandinavia's premier meeting place for golf and experiences.
