Golf tournaments 2026

The 2026 season promises a range of exciting golf tournaments at The National, where enjoyment, camaraderie, and high quality are the focus.

Whether you're competitive or participating for the experience and community, we offer events that combine challenging courses with an exceptional overall experience. Throughout the year, you can expect everything from open competitions and corporate events to major competition weekends with top-class food, service, and atmosphere.

All our competitions are open to everyone – including non-members – except for: Club Championships, 2 Generations (one participant must be a member), Members Final and Members Challenge.

We look forward to a season full of achievements, encounters, and memorable moments on the track.

Throughout the year

Captains Cup

Welcome to this year's edition of the Captains Cup – a matchplay competition where strategy, nerves, and form are decisive.
After registration, you will be drawn against four opponents. The matches will be played on dates of your choice on the Links course, and the best will advance to a playoff in a classic “win or bust” format.

28 June

Lake trophy

Welcome to the Lakes Trophy – a prestigious competition where the best gross score gets their name on the trophy, while prizes are also awarded in the net category.

17 July

Greenkeeper's revenge

A scramble out of the ordinary – where the course is playable, but not necessarily fair. The greenkeeper has had free rein... and the rakes have too.

22 July

Front tee challenge

The ladies challenge the gentlemen – everyone plays from the 48 tee on the Lakes Course. We will compete in separate gross categories for ladies and gentlemen, as well as in a shared net category. A fun and different challenge where perspectives change and the game is put to the test.

Is it really as simple as it looks?

23 July

National Women's Day

A lovely day of competition on the Lakes Course with individual play in three classes (A & B scratch golf, C Stableford). Lunch is included after play and the day concludes with a joint prize-giving ceremony.
In addition, we are competing for nearest the pin, longest drive, and best gross.

24 July

Back tee challenge

Challenge yourself and tee off from the back of the Lakes Course. Gentlemen play from tee 68 and ladies from tee 59 – a true test of both length and precision.

We're awarding prizes for the best gross and net – and naturally, there are also booby prizes.
Open to non-members too.

26th July

Two generations

A competition that unites generations on the course. Play greensome together with someone from your family tree – child, parent or grandparent – and share both strategy and experience.
Joint award ceremony after the lap has ended.
A player must be a member. This year, non-members play without a competition green fee.

15 August and 16 August

Club Championships

The season's most prestigious competition – where we crown club champions for men, women, and age groups.
This year's championship will be played over 36 + 18 holes with a cut after the first day. We will start on the Links and finish on the Lakes.
Who will take home the title in 2026?

27 September

Members final

The season comes to a head in the Members' Final – exclusive to the 20 players who have accumulated the most points in this year's club competitions.
The final is played as stroke play and is followed by a shared lunch and prize-giving ceremony. Lunch and range balls are included.
Who will make it all the way to the final?

3 October

Members' challenge

A fast-paced 4-person scramble where teamwork and creativity are put to the test.
