Welcome to The National – the perfect place for anyone who wants to learn golf and earn a Green Card!

We are proud to be one of Sweden’s leading golf facilities, and we would love to help you get started on your golfing adventure.

If you are new to golf, don’t hesitate to sign up for one of our beginner Green Card courses. We offer well-structured and educational instruction that helps you learn the fundamentals of the game and improve your skills in a short period of time. We offer both group courses and private lessons.

Group beginner course

Private beginner course

The private beginner course is for 1–2 people and includes:

  • Lessons with a PGA-certified golf coach covering technique fundamentals
  • Play examination with a PGA-certified golf coach
  • The theory part completed online
  • Free play on the Academy Course for 1 month to prepare for the play examination
  • Loan of equipment and range balls during lesson time

A Green Card (Golf ID) is included in the course. To activate your Golf ID, you must become a member with us or with another golf club.

Price – private beginner course with Julia

Price applies per person

  • Small: 1 × 50 minutes – SEK 1,145
  • Medium: 5 × 50 minutes – SEK 4,995
  • Large: 10 × 50 minutes – SEK 8,995

For two participants, the second person receives a 70% discount (you train together during the same sessions).

Here are some common questions and answers for those new to golf. Can’t find the answer you’re looking for? You’re welcome to contact us – we’re happy to help!

No, everyone is welcome to begin Green Card training at The National. However, membership is required to register a handicap and to play on many Swedish courses. At The National, we offer several membership options to suit most players.

You sign up for one of our beginner courses. Before the course begins, you are encouraged to practice on your own (you are welcome to borrow clubs from us) and register online.

  1. Register a Golf ID
  2. Complete the knowledge test
  3. Pass the playing test approved by your beginner course

This shows that you are ready to play on Swedish golf courses.

No, everyone is welcome to play on the Academy Course and the Driving Range. To play the Links Course and Lakes Course, you must demonstrate sufficient golfing ability or play together with someone in your group who can confirm that you are able to play safely.

The Green Card is golf’s equivalent of a driver’s license – it certifies that you understand the rules and safety aspects of the game. It is required to play on most Swedish golf courses and shows that you are ready to play responsibly and safely.
