Privacy Policy – The National

At The National, we process Personal Data of users and customers. We value your privacy and comply with applicable legislation aimed at protecting you as an individual. The National is the data controller responsible for the processing of personal data on this website. USE OF THE NATIONAL’S WEBSITE AND BOOKING SERVICES

By using The National website, you agree that The National actively collects, manages, stores, uses, and otherwise processes your personal data so that The National and its partners can provide the products and services offered through our website. For persons under 18 years of age, parental consent is generally required for the registration and processing of personal data. By consenting to these terms, you confirm that you are either over 18 years old or that your parent/guardian consents to The National storing and processing your Personal Data in accordance with these terms.

The National treats all Personal Data with the utmost care, and subcontractors may only use Personal Data to carry out assignments for The National. Examples of third-party service providers working on our behalf include:

• Google Analytics, for analytical purposes regarding how our website is used.

• The Swedish Golf Federation, when logging into our website via your GolfID.

By accepting this Privacy Policy, you also consent to your data/registration information being used for audience targeting in marketing purposes. You also consent that such information may be shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Any such disclosure will always be anonymized. You have the right, upon written request to The National, to obtain information on which Personal Data is registered about you. Any incorrect Personal Data can be corrected upon request. You can also request the deletion of Personal Data. Such a request can be submitted by sending an email to gdpr@thenational.se or by visiting us in person.

PURPOSES FOR WHICH WE PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA

The National collects Personal Data for various purposes. Which Personal Data is collected and how it is collected depends on the booking services you use.

The National uses Personal Data to:

1. Manage and process your bookings and orders.

2. Administer your membership in the club.

3. Administer competitions/events/results lists you have registered for.

4. Contact you via SMS or email or notify you about your booking status or information related to your booking/order before, during, and after your stay.

5. Diagnose errors, optimize technology, and contact you in case of problems with a booking or the execution of services.

6. Personalize communication regarding our services, e.g., by creating a profile and sending offers tailored to your profile as a user.

7. Analyze statistics and user behavior regarding our services.

8. When you or your party register for a club competition or sponsor golf, photos and videos may be taken during the competition and subsequent dinner/mingling, which may be used for marketing purposes.

You have the right at any time and free of charge to request that The National does not process your Personal Data for marketing purposes or to withdraw your consent for such processing. You can exercise this right by contacting The National at: gdpr@thenational.se

Please note that even if consent is withdrawn, The National may still process your Personal Data on other legal grounds, such as fulfilling a customer agreement or club membership.

INFORMATION DISPATCH

When you make a booking with us, we use your Personal Data to send booking confirmations, important information about your upcoming stay, and offers related to your stay. These communications are sent to the email address/phone number provided during booking.

After your stay, a survey may be sent asking for feedback to help us improve our services. We may also send a thank-you email for your visit.

STORAGE PERIODS

The National retains Personal Data in accordance with applicable law. This means, for example, that The National deletes or anonymizes Personal Data when the purpose of processing no longer exists.

TECHNICAL/ORGANIZATIONAL MEASURES FOR SECURE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

The National continuously implements measures to comply with the principles of “data protection by design and by default.” Risks related to personal data processing are continuously evaluated, and necessary security measures are implemented to minimize risks.

We continuously train our staff in data protection matters.
